Building a digital service culture
Our values
The future is inevitably digital but this needn’t be overwhelming. The sooner we embrace this, the more efficient we can be and the faster we will progress.
At Akieni, we are strong advocates of this digital future. We work directly with local teams that are committed to driving change in the region and building the next generation of government and institutional services.
We provide flexible technology platforms and end to end solution design that empower a diverse range of clients to fully embrace our shared digital future.
Government, institutions, businesses and the citizens that they all serve are part of a wider ecosystem. At Akieni, we partner, consult and collaborate across this ecosystem to bring together all the relevant players to build complete solutions that create a step change in the way digital services are designed, deployed and delivered.
Social and environmental responsibility
Integrity and transparency

Our commitment
Invest in human capital
Akieni is committed to becoming a central enabler for the creation of a strong digital economy in our region.
Deliver transformation through collaboration
We engage with all players in the sector to create an ecosystem for digital public goods and digital skills.
To deliver lasting change we invest in developing the skills and capacity of the people on the ground who deliver vital public services.
Play a central role in development
Building on progress
Governments and regional / international development finance institutions are already pushing heavily to plug gaps in service delivery with large scale investments in infrastructure.
We work along side and in collaboration with existing development plans and digital transformation strategies to augment, catalyse and support progress.
A continent coming online.
Today, 473 million Africans are online. An additional 300 million are expected to join them by 2025. Despite the rising number of users, the internet penetration rate stood at around 43 percent in 2021, below a global average of 66 percent.
We believe surpassing this number, by accelerating internet access, mobile coverage and the adoption of digital services, is crucial to Africa's future growth.
